NEW TRAIL

Not all huskies can become sled dogs.  They may not have the physical requirements, mental ability, stamina, or desire to pull or run with the team.

Breeding, even planned, do not always guarantee litters were all the puppies are born sled dogs.  We like every kennel have some of those dogs that would just rather be… Couch potatoes, house pets, free spirits, or whatever they chose.  This page is for those Yellow Snow dogs that chose a new trail.

Adopt
Sierra

SIERRA - a small Siberian with a big heart but struggled to keep up with the team.  She was adopted by a loving family in Maryland.  She has a playmate, can sleep on a bed and now runs at her pace.

JUNEAU - one of Chester and Sequoia’s pups, was a gift to my niece,”Lexie” before the move to Alaska.  She is among other Sibs and the mother of Kodiak.  My sister swears she would have been a great sled dog.

Juneau

CJ - one of Juneau’s puppies who chose cheeseburgers over working hard and pulling a sled.  He was adopted by a good friend of ours, renamed “Tundra” alias the “Love Sponge”.  He lives on Willow Lake, has a great view of Mt. McKinley and loves to watch his littermates run by.

TAKOTNA - A beautiful bi-eyed Siberian, from Acadia, that just didn’t think being a sled dog was all it’s cracked up to be.  He was adopted by a family in Anchorage.  He goes to the dog park, gets long walks and watches out for his family.

 Eilu

YSK on occasion will have huskies available for adoption.  Those dogs that choose not to be a sled dog or have become too old to run.  If you are interested in adoption feel free to contact us, but understand that these dogs are high energy and require exercise on a regular basis.  We’d appreciate serious inquiries only.
